Youth
Youth (6th – 12th Grade)
Youth at Montview (aka YAM) is a community of teens, grades 6th – 12th, who come together from around the Denver area, where all are welcomed as beloved children of God. Our programs are designed to be a safe place to form meaningful friendships, explore faith and discipleship, and participate in beloved community. Throughout the year we have time for fellowship, service, faith formation, and spiritual growth.
You are enough. You are loved. You are not alone.
YAM Sunday Morning Information
JAM in the AM | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM | Cellar
6th & 7th grade youth dig into Bible stories and discover how it is relevant to our everyday lives through games and activities. The adventure starts during the month of September with good snacks and traveling companions.
Confirmation | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM | New Confirmation Room
Confirmation is open to all youth 8th grade and above as one way that we honor our baptismal vows. Confirmation is an intentional time that we set aside to explore spirituality and ask the great questions of our traditions and faith. Learn more here.
Waffles and Wonderings | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM | Back Room (Cellar)
High school youth enjoy making waffles (and eating them too!) while engaging in a variety of topics relating faith to our lives in the 21st century. High school youth will have an opportunity to provide input on the topics for the year.
Participate in Worship
Youth have opportunities to participate and lead worship throughout the year. Youth are welcome to be greeters, read scripture, serve as acolytes, and to join our youth band, Jubilate Singers, or the children’s bell choir.
Jubilate Singers (6th – 12th) Sundays | 12 PM – 12:40 PM
Jubilate Singers is Montview’s youth band. Singers and instrumentalists alike are invited to participate in this unique ensemble, specializing in an eclectic repertoire of singer/songwriter, folk and jazz.
All youth 6th – 12th grades are welcome to participate! If you are interested in joining contact Minister of Music, Adam Waite, with questions or for more information.
Youth Handbells (3rd – 8th) Sunday Mornings | 8:45 AM – 9:25 AM
The handbell choir plays in worship several times throughout the year. No musical experience is necessary to join the handbell choir. Handbells is a perfect opportunity to learn the basics in reading music. Middle school youth participants will also have an opportunity to develop leadership skills in this multi-aged group.

Fellowship and Service
Youth at Montview have opportunities to come together for fellowship, a time to connect with peers and build deeper friendships. We celebrate the great things happening in our lives and support one another through the challenges.
We also come together for times of service, and share the love of God with others through acts of kindness. Opportunities this fall include assembling welcome baskets for individuals experiencing homelessness moving into micro-living communities and thanksgiving baskets for families at Stedman elementary.
Most of our fellowship and service times take place on Sunday afternoons. You can subscribe to our JAM and MOB calendars to see what is ahead!
On Sundays when we meet in the Cellar our schedule is:
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM JAM (6th – 8th)
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM YAM Dinner (ALL Youth)
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM MOB (9th – 12th)
