Children – MLK March

This year on January 21, the kindergartners and first graders from all four Park Hill elementary schools, Hallet, Smith, Stedman and Park Hill will walk together to honor Dr. King. Promoting activism and social justice, this year over 600 students will gather at Turtle Park and walk hand-in-hand with student-made posters of peace and love. Upon arrival at here at Montview, the combined choir of children will sing “We Shall Overcome” on the front steps of the church. Then everyone will go inside and hear about MLK’s legacy from guest speakers and singers including the Honorable Judge Diane Briscoe and Denver Councilman Christopher Herndon.
