*Call to Worship (based on Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and Leviticus 19:18)
Leader: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.
People: And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your might.”
Leader:  Hear, O Church of God: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.
People: And we shall love the Lord our God with all our heart,
and with all our soul, and with all our might.

People: Let us worship God!

*Gathering Hymn  645 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above, Verse 2

 *Corporate Confession (Unison)
Merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word and deed
by what we have done
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart
and mind and strength.
We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
In your mercy forgive what we have been,
help us amend what we are,
and direct what we shall be,
so that we may delight in your will
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your holy name.
