Róisín O’Farrell is a current artist who paints interior and exterior scenes of her homeland, Ireland. Using thick impasto paint, abstracted color and her signature pink, she shows us light and possibility from a country where light is prized.

Go With Your Heart is a rich and elaborate view of an Irish home. Every part of this work is a sweet play on reality and elaboration and a challenge to us. It seems to challenge us to look deeply at the familiar spaces in our lives letting light and shadow and both on color help us pause for fleeting moments of awe, wonder, imagination and gratitude. It also seems an invitation to walk through doorways and appreciate the freedom we have to do so. Our prayers are with those who do not for so many worldly reasons.

This piece presents as simple, fresh air in these times of concern and anticipation. Its call to follow our hearts can help us turn to beauty, love, prayer and God’s assurance in the midst of this world.
