John Fielder (1950-2023) was a landscape photographer. With the eye of an artist and the heart of a conservationist he showed us the beauty of creation and fought for its protection within land use and environmental issues. After a few early years in the business world he turned his hobby of photography into a profession and the rest is history. Before his death, he released his collection of 200,000 photographs into the public domain with History Colorado as the caretaker. Many can be seen on the History Colorado website.
In these times, renewal in God might be found in the beauty of God’s creation. Psalm 121:1-2 calls us to notice.
I lift up my eye to the hills –
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
In this image of the real and the reflected, may we find our help in both comfort and strength. We give God endless thanks. Amen.
In gratitude, faith and hope,
