Music & the Arts

Music and the Arts connect us to our faith in a transcendent way. As such, Montview strives to create a deep and diverse program that brings forth the artistic gifts of our congregation and the Denver arts community-at-large.

From our 80-voice Westminster Choir to our Youth Handbell ensemble, music is a cornerstone of weekly worship at Montview. Dramatic Arts are expressed through our multi-generational Musique & Masque community theatre group and our children’s and youth Pulpit Players. The visual arts are shared throughout our worshiping and gathering spaces, encouraging reflection and meditation.

We hope our arts ministry helps you connect to your spirituality in a deep and meaningful way. Scroll on for more information and videos about our various arts groups.

Frequently thought of as “the church within the church,” Montview’s globally toured Westminster Choir is both the cornerstone of weekly worship music for the Montview congregation, and the cornerstone of the Montview experience for the choir’s 80+ congregational volunteer members. The choir rehearses Thursday nights and sings for worship Sunday mornings, September – June. The choir is led by Minister of Music Adam Waite (conductor) and Associate Minister of Music Yinying Luo (accompanist). College Students: CLICK HERE to apply to the Choral Arts Fellowship.

Instrumental

From our 4,000+ pipe four-manual sanctuary organ to our five-octave bell choir, Montview is fortunate to be able to share these beautiful sounds in our weekly worship. We also regularly invite musicians from the Denver community into our worship, including members of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and jazz faculty from Metro State.

Montview Conservatory and Dramatic Arts

For over three decades, the volunteer led Musique and Masque has staged community theatre productions in our Miller Chapel. Montview also offers midweek Conservatory classes for Children and Youth in music and dramatic arts.
