In this third session in our series, “Elections in the Time of a Pandemic: Can We Talk?,” Congresswoman Diana DeGette reflects on “Politicians Have Families Too: Talking Across the Dinner Table Divide.” Congresswoman DeGette has served as the U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 1st congressional district since 1997. Representative Degette is also a long-time member of Montview Church, and we are grateful for her wisdom, experience and faith perspective on her call to serve the public in this extraordinarily demanding role. At this time of increasingly strident partisan politics, we will talk to Diana about how she navigates the rough waters of working across the aisle with her colleagues in the House, as well as how she converses with her own friends and family members who don’t always agree.
