Children’s Music Program Safety Procedures

Cantate Choir

  1. Parents who bring their children to rehearsal on Sunday morning are asked to complete the sign-in area of the attendance log.
  2. This log is passed on to church school teachers
  3. When parents pick up children from church school, they complete the sign-out section of the log.
  4. For rehearsals with other choirs for concerts, parents are asked to remain on the premises during the rehearsal.

Pulpit Players

  1. Parents are asked to ensure that adult leaders are present when they drop off their children for rehearsal.
  2. Adult leaders remain with the children until parents pick them up.

Timbrel Choir

  1. The parents of children in grades 3 through 5 are asked to escort their children to the Children’s Choir Room at the beginning of rehearsal and to pick them up at the end of rehearsal.
  2. For children and youth above grade 5, parents make their own decision about whether to escort their child or youth to and from rehearsal. Those who allow their child or youth to move unescorted through the building are encouraged to educate their child or youth in safety precautions such as staying with other children or youth.

Jubilate Choir

Parents make their own decision about whether to escort their youth to and from rehearsal. Those who allow their youth to move unescorted through the building are encouraged to educate their  youth in safety precautions such as staying with other members of the youth program.
