Rev. Laurie Lyter Bright, Minister of Youth and Familes (Interim)
After earning her bachelor’s degree in English literature, she got in an argument with God and decided the best way to resolve it was a trip to seminary. After two years at Princeton Theological Seminary and one year at San Francisco Theological Seminary at the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley, she finished an M.Div., was back on relatively good terms with God, and was ready for adventure. Opportunities to serve in the field of human trafficking prevention, education, advocacy, and direct action took Laurie to London, Cape Town, and a little town outside Calcutta called Balasore.
Sandy Prouty, Minister of Children & Families
Sandy joined Montview’s Program Staff in 2002. She holds a BA and MA in Education and was a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools for 24 years. Sandy feels that she was called to her work with the children and families of this church and the call continues. She very much enjoys the program development and relationship aspects of this position. Sandy has four children, two girls and two boys, who are all in their twenties. Her favorite pastimes are reading, running and having long conversations with family and friends.
