Membership and Event Coordinator 

Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church seeks an outgoing and organized individual to add to our administrative team. Successful candidate will provide support for recruiting new members and facilitating and coordinating events held at the church including meetings, weddings, memorial services and receptions along with website maintenance and content development. Executive Director
Co-Pastor in Charge of Membership

Objective or Purpose of Position: 

To assist the Co-Pastor in charge of Membership with identifying, recruiting, joining and assimilation of visitors and prospective members to the Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church community

To assist the Director of Communications with Website maintenance and content development

To facilitate and coordinate events held at MBPC

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

Prepare for and facilitate Inquirers’ class which occurs five times annually

Coordinate membership efforts between staff and committee members including tracking attendance and processing visitor letters

Update membership information with Clerk of Session to ensure accuracy of rolls

Make recommendations to improve process and procedure for the membership engagement process

Cross train with other administrative positions in the church office to provide overlap for administrative duties including answering the telephone, assisting members and visitors, and being an ambassador of Montview

Work with members of Communications Committee and staff to develop new and revise old new member materials

Website maintenance and content development

Coordinate any and all Catered functions with outside vendors, staff and members as needed.

Market, Coordinate and Invoice all Events held at MBPC

Clerical and Administrative Support as needed for Pastors and Staff

Supervise and manage volunteers as needed for answering phones, special projects

Maintain office, custodial and coffee supplies

Order and provide supplies for Memorial services including urns, guest books, etc.




Takes initiative to support the success of any and all Montview programs and missions

Outgoing and personable with members and prospective members

Ability to work with individuals and ministries to provide information and materials as needed to support membership ministry’s efforts

Accuracy of work is imperative

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Database software

 Work Schedule:    40 hours/week; some nights and weekends may be necessary

Salary:  $15-20/hour dependent on experience

              Benefits available include, health insurance, dental, 403 (b)
